Cleaning Mode is made by Benmore Technologies. This page explains what we collect and why.

Your account

To use Cleaning Mode you create an account with your email address or your Google account. We store your name, email address and sign-in details so you can sign in, and we may email you about Cleaning Mode. We don't sell your information.

The Mac app

The app goes online only to sign you in and to check that you're still signed in. While Cleaning Mode is on, it reads key presses on your Mac only to notice when you type “open”. Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.

The site uses a cookie to keep you signed in and, only if you accept, to measure how the site is used.

Deleting your data
